Observed Biblical Calendar: Current Renewed Moon Report
3rd Renewed Moon of 2026-2027 (May/June)
Latest update (as of May 17, 2026 4:00 AM UTC)
Local time (UTC): • UTC:
The two methods did not align, as expected, for this renewed moon cycle.
The Global observation was first seen at Kutch, Dhordo, India , east of Israel.
Because the count was 29 days from the previous sighting and the moon was not seen within Israel, the Israel-based methodology requires the month to be delayed by one additional day.

Current Report
The third renewed moon crescent of the year was sighted from Dhordo, Kutch, India, on the evening of May 17, 2026, by 11 people. Additional sightings westward followed, establishing the month globally from that meridian. Despite these reports, however, there were no known reports from within Israel. For those who follow an Israel-based observation, they would delay the start of their month until the following evening at the end of the 30th day there.
